The Origin

In 2021, a visionary named Dr. Shreekant A Damgude, a renowned eye surgeon, hailing from Mumbai, founded "Trishaan Foundation" Trust under Indian Trust Act -1882 at Delhi along with other Trustees in the sweet memory of his revered Late father Sh.Ankush B Damgude .Under guidance of Chief Patron honourable Dr J P Sharma , Trishaan Netralaya under aegis of Trishaan Foundation, quickly started their Eye care services through free OPD on 4th April 2021 to combat blindness and visual impairment. Since its inception, the hospital has received an overwhelming response reaching 1,000 OPD patients within first month itself.Trishaan Netralaya continued Free eye OPD even during difficult times of second lockdown phase of COVID-19 outbreak without break seven days a week for general welfare of humanity. Trishaan Netralaya quickly expanded its services, establishing an operation theatre within first month and has performed over 3,400 surgeries to date, all with excellent outcomes. The hospital has welcomed over 37000 new OPD patients and recorded more than 90,000 total visits. Remarkably, all surgeries for poor patients are done free of cost, reflecting our commitment of providing essential eye care to the underprivileged.

Know Our Founder : Trishaan Foundation.
Our founder & Chairman is Dr Shreekant A Damgude.Being bright student right from his school days & securing 13 th rank in SSC, he further achieved merit to do MBBS from prestigious Seth G S Medical College & KEM Hospital,Mumbai.He did postgraduation in MS Ophthalmology from Delhi University ( Safdarjung Hospital).Later he pursued a Fellowship in Vitreo-Retinal Surgery in Lotus Eye Care Hospital, Coimbatore (2009-11) under guidance of Eminent Surgeon Dr R J Madhusudan. He won C P Gupta Best Paper Award in annual TNOA Conference held at Salem in 2010. He also secured FAICO(Vitreo-Retina) Degree awarded by AIOC in Annual Conference at Ahmedabad in 2011. He underwent MICS(Micro-incision Cataract Surgery) training in Jawahar Lal Rohatgi Hospital, Kanpur.

In 2020, post COVID lockdown, he was inspired & fully engrossed with idea to start own Hospital in welfare of humanity. His idea & wish pushed him to form trust Trishaan Foundation with blessings & requisite guidance from Dr J P Sharma, philanthropist & now Chief Patron of Trust in 2021. Vision of Trust being Excellent Eye care for all ( All for vision, vision for All). He , under guidance of Dr J P Sharma, quickly started Trishaan Netralaya under aegis of Trishaan Foundation on 4th April 2021. With his relentless work, commitment, dedication, Trishaan Netralaya has achieved significant success with completion of attending more than 37000 New OPD patients & perfoming over 3400 Surgeries with excellent outcomes & that too with free of cost for all patients( till Aug 2024).
